This year we met Annette in Columbus’ Park of Roses, where Kari and Scott got engaged. Kari returned to Annette Ferraro, who was offering a studio-style photo shoot in her backyard. Kari was in love with the idea and, of course, signed Evelyn up right away.
Sure enough, the photos came out great, as always. Said Kari: “Every year I can’t imagine she can’t get any cuter. Every year she proves me wrong.”
The global pandemic significantly impacted our lives in 2020. One important change was the close relationship we quickly developed with our neighbors The Winslows (Kim, Chris, Lucy and Elliott). We shared parenting duties for several months and, as “pandemic pals,” saw quite a lot of each other!
A local photographer was offering socially distanced photo shoots so, to document the unusual but historic times, we decided to have some pictures taken. Presenting, the Pandemic Pals!
The annual tradition continues. Just for fun we tried a new photographer this year. Downtown Columbus was a beautiful setting and of course Evelyn was beautiful as always, too. Check out all our pics! (Sorry, there are a lot — we don’t expect anyone to actually look at them all besides the grandparents.)
Well, Kari signed us up for another photo shoot. (It’s looking more and more like an annual thing.) One change: This year our boy Ray joined us! We took some pictures by the Scioto River and it was worth it because we got a couple good ones. (Oh, and our daughter was just as stinkin’ cute as always!) Have a look.
Has our family photo family shoot somehow turned into an annual thing? We don’t know. What we do know is that when Kari sets her mind to something and finds a good bargain, it’s a done deal. And with Evelyn looking so stinkin’ cute, how could we say no?!

We liked Evelyn’s six-week photo shoot so much that we came back one year later!
As you can see, she is getting bigger and stronger and cuter by the day. She was all smiles, and with a little prodding even enjoyed some messy handfuls of cake. To take a look at some of the pictures, click here.
After a year of surgeries, doctor visits, bills and a whole lot of stress and worry, it was time to finally celebrate! Kari may have been planning this birthday party the moment Evelyn was born — and let’s be honest, after all her long hours and tears shed, Mom deserved this party more than anyone. Appropriately, the party featured a keg of beer, plenty of champagne and a lack of kid-friendly activities. Thanks to everyone who helped make this great day possible!

On June 9, 2015 our family got a little bigger: Evelyn Louise Fuller was born at 11:54 p.m. at The Ohio State State University Wexner Medical Center! Evelyn was born with several heart defects, so she was promptly taken to the neonatal intensive care unit at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, which became her (and our) home for about a month. It was a stressful time, but we were supported at every step by our family, friends and a huge team of expert doctors and nurses. Simply put, you all are the best — we are so grateful and owe you a big THANK YOU!
Evelyn is now home and happy and healthy. She’s excited to meet everyone, and we can’t wait to show off our new bundle of joy. Come stop by! In the meantime, if you want to see some pictures, click here.
Our wedding was picture perfect, and that’s because we were able to celebrate it with those nearest and dearest to us. We had a wonderful time and hope you did, too!
